This privacy statement covers the GardenScape web site. The site is administered by the Gardenscape Professionals Association ("Association"). We respect our users' privacy, and hereby disclose our online information and privacy practices, disclosing what information we gather and how we use it.

Personal Information

We consider "personal information" to be facts such as name, address, telephone number, or email address. You do not have to provide any personal information to visit and utilize this Web site. If you choose to provide us with personal information, such as by filling out a form and submitting it through our Web site, or by purchasing show tickets, we will use that information to respond to your message or to fulfill the ticket order.

Cookies

We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The cookie automatically identifies your computer, but not your identity, to our server during the visit to our web site.

The cookie itself does not contain personal information, even if you have provided it to us. A cookie can't read data off your hard disk or read cookie files created by other sites. We use cookies placed on your computer to momentarily save results of your searches of our site. As a visitor, our cookies expire on your computer soon after you visit our site.

Log Files - What is gathered

Log Files - What data is used

Data stored in our log files, including what pages visitors as a group have viewed, is used as aggregated tracking information. Our association aggregates and analyzes the information it collects over many visitors to improve our service and to determine interests and needs of our visitors. We do not correlate this information with data about individual visitors.

Our web server sometimes tracks the search terms that users enter in our Search functions, but this tracking is never associated with personal information. We use the search information to identify the success of such features, and guide us in their improvement. Both the log files and search information can be viewed only by the site administrators and not the public.

Contact Form

If you contact the show producers through our contact form on the web site, we may store copies of such communications. This can result in the collection of such personal information as your name, email address, postal address, as well as the collection of your IP address and the date and time of your communication. We do not attempt to correlate this information to your previous use of the web site unless responding to your inquiry requires us to do so. Information collected through the form is used only for responding to you, and is not shared with any third party.

Email

The Association does not send unsolicited e-mail. You will not be automatically be "signed up" for anything. If you have selected to join our email list, each message sent contains instructions on how to remove yourself from the list. If you feel that communication to you from the Association is unsolicited, please contact our office to resolve this problem.

Children

At this time, there is no area of the web site that is meant for the use of children. Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent.

Sharing Collected Information

We will not share information about individual users with any third party, except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, aid in the investigation of misuse of web services, or to protect the personal safety of our users or the public.
