Children's Garden
One of the GardenScape traditions is the Children's Garden, a place for our younger show goers to have fun, explore, and learn about our green world.
Each year's show has its own setting and activities for the children, but the experience is always informal, a bit creative, certainly "hands-on" - and always fun. Activities for past Children's Gardens included:
- Face painting
- Painting flower pots & planting seeds to take home
- Playing in a "jungle" treehouse
And adults are invited to join in on the fun!
For 2009, the original team that designed some of the most imaginative Children's Gardens in the early years of the show is back together again, under the sponsorship of Home Comfort Heating, to create a special experience.
This year's Children's Garden features
a 40-foot (but very friendly) serpent.
Parents are welcome to accompany
their kids and bring their cameras.
The Children's Garden will be located at the back
of Minett Hall and open during normal show hours.
A variety of crafts and games will be offered, and every child will take home a potted blueberry plant.
